Thermoanemometer

Anemometers use sonic pulses or the force of the wind against a surface, like a propeller or a cup, to measure wind speed.A wheel with cups or a propeller at the end of each spoke makes up a mechanical anemometer. There's a magnet inside one of them. The magnet records every time it moves past a switch. This can provide a very accurate wind speed reading.
