Macurco™CD-6H/CD-6MC/CD-12MC
The CD-xxH/MC units can be calibrated and tested for proper operation. During normal operation, the green status indicator LED light remains steady, the fan & alarm relay is in standby mode, and the 4-20 mA output corresponds to the gas reading of the detector. If the unit detects an improper voltage or inoperable component, it defaults into error mode, activating the alarm relay, increasing the current loop, and flashing the green status indicator LED light.
To test the unit, remove the single screw in the front cover and observe the LED light. If the light is solid green, proceed with the tests. If off or flashing, refer to the General section. Press the ENTER/TEST switch on the printed circuit board and the CD-xxH/MC will step through a cycle test, progressing through BUZ (Buzzer Test), Art (alarm relay test), Frt (fan relay test), and 42t (4-20 mA output test).
After testing is completed, reassemble the unit or units. A manual operation test allows the user to manually initiate individual tests for each relay, analog output, and sensor response to gas. To access the test menu, press the 42TNext42Tbutton twice and enter the selected test. The display will flash during the test, or in the case of the gas test, the gas level will alternate with gtS. Once the test is complete, the display will return to a steady display,
